Conversations: Eleanor Parker - English Through the Ages

Eleanor Parker is a writer and academic focused on the world of medieval English literature and language. Her blog and Twitter page, both under the name 'A Clerk of Oxford,' is an excellent resource for enthusiasts of historical, literary, and linguistic exploration of Old English, Vikings, and the medieval world. She also writes as a regular columnist for History Today, as well as for her very interesting and worthwhile Patreon page.

I'm grateful that she joined the podcast to talk about the English language, Tolkien, the art of translation, and an historian's view of our present troubles.
